Following extensive consultations with both owners and municipal operators of the existing screening and press equipment, a thorough evaluation was undertaken which concluded that a more appropriate fine screen, compaction press and ultrasonic controls would result in reduction of BOD surcharges and eliminating annual rebuilding of the original screen, thus ensuring a very rapid pay-back.
